Our ethosPrototype · Demo mode

Built around the person in front of us.

Rock Bottom Fund is a small UK charitable initiative. This prototype exists to show what a trauma-informed, safeguarding-led online gateway could feel like — dignified, calm, and human.

What we believe

Nobody chooses rock bottom. People arrive there through overlapping crises — abuse, illness, loss, poverty, exploitation, addiction — often stacked. A helpful response starts by slowing down and treating the person as a person.

How we work

  • Human first
Every case is reviewed by a real, trained person. No automated safety decisions.
  • Consent-led
We record only what you agree to share. Referrals need a clear yes.
  • Trauma-informed
Slow onboarding, plain language, no forms as gatekeeping.
  • Safeguarding-led
Supervision, escalation paths, and a clear separation between paid and volunteer roles.

What we are honest about

We are not a 24/7 emergency service. We do not diagnose, prescribe, or offer legal advice. We cannot guarantee refuge places or grants. This prototype is not clinically staffed and should not be treated as a live service.
